In many cases, it is preferable to design an educational programme that is tailored to the student's interests. This might include learning how to respond to visual art through the medium of poetry or writing a book about something they are studying at school (be it the solar system, sharks or the California Gold Rush). These programmes are bespoke, with the aim of encouraging a child's interests beyond the classroom and stimulating a love for learning that will endure long after they have left school.
