13+ Scholarships

The Eton King's Scholarship is widely regarded as the most prestigious 13+ academic scholarship in the UK and represents the most common scholarship pathway we support. Each year, a select number of boys are awarded this honor, which is assessed through the highly competitive King’s Scholarship (KS) examinations. 

The KS exams evaluate candidates beyond the standard Common Entrance syllabus. In addition to subject papers in English, Mathematics, Science and languages, pupils must tackle the notoriously challenging General I and General II papers, which assess logic, reasoning, advanced comprehension and intellectual flexibility at an exceptionally high level.
